  • No. It comes pre-seasoned and ready to use, but factory seasoning may not be fully non-stick. For best results, wash and dry completely, apply a thin layer of cooking oil, then bake upside down at 450–500°F for 1 hour. Cool in oven.

  • Yes. This cast iron pan works on induction, gas, electric, ceramic cooktops, ovens, grills, and campfires. It is not microwave safe. On glass or induction surfaces, lift the pan instead of sliding to avoid scratches.

  • Yes, this cast iron pan is oven safe up to 500°F. Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling, as the entire pan, including the handles, will become very hot during cooking or baking.

  • Hand wash with warm water, dry immediately and completely, then apply a very thin layer of cooking oil before storing. Do not soak the pan, put it in the dishwasher, or leave it wet, as cast iron can rust if moisture remains on the surface.

  • Rust does not mean the cast iron is damaged. Scrub light rust with steel wool, wash, and dry well. For heavier rust, briefly soak with equal parts vinegar and water, then scrub. After that, dry, oil lightly, and bake upside down at 450°F for 1 hour.
